KAYFABEMANIA explores the tragedy, squalor and totally great exciting fun of wrestling and wrestling fandom.”Kayfabe” is the pro-wrestler’s code of silence, the act of keeping wrestling’s fictional elements going outside the ring and protecting the tricks of the grappling business from the fans.

Come and see new wrestling themed work, from crocheted lucha libre gear to huge wooden grapplers locked in combat and some literal interpretations of Hulk Hogan's most outlandish boasts. The exhibition also features a Kayfabe Museum of rare wrestling ephemera and memorabilia, such as carefully preserved samples of Asian Mist and a semi-genuine Mister Socko.

Opening with a not-to-be missed spectacular, Thursday the 21st will treat you to an evening of real-life bad-ass in-ring professional wrestling and live music, from high-flying luchadors and grizzled brawlers, thanks to Liverpool’s own Infinite Promotions. Get down early to get a ringside spot you stupid mark. Entry to the opening event is £5 and gets you a free risograph-printed poster."

As you can tell I didn't write any of that, for a start at no point is the word 'fuck' used. We're doing an exhibition about the best sport ever, it'll be open for a while and everyone should come and have a look, but right now I should be drawing shit and not blogging nothing (also, that shit picture of The Rock isn't in the exhibition so don't worry!)

THE DOUBLE NEGATIVE ARTISH OF THE MONTH

The Double Negative decided to put me as their 'Artist of the Month' to coinside with the Spirit Animals album release / exhibition happening at Wolstenholme Creative Space, Liverpool on the 5th April (next week! shit!!!) It included an interview that you can go and read at their website, and the above banner made to sit at the top of their website for the next month.

It's also my first go at making something animated, if you're on google chrome, you might not be able to see it, I think it works on all the other browsers, there's an add-on to make it work in chrome if you're arsed.

 Anyway go and have a nose if you're interested in the bullshit that comes from the cakehole in my face.

Here's the front cover to 'As God As My Witness' - the wrestling zine I'm illustrating for Belly Kids which they're describing as "Crammed full of pictures, essays and photographs this zine is inspired by the memories and charisma of professional wrestling", Wrestling is obviously brilliant, don't be a snob. You probably pretend you don't like listening to System of a Down on the sly. Well stop it. Do what you like etc.

Will be out before the end of the year.
